How to Set Up HP Smart App on Phone & Computer

HP Smart is the easiest way to set up, manage, and print from your HP printer. Here's how to get it working on all your devices.

Download HP Smart

• • Windows 10/11: Open Microsoft Store → search "HP Smart" → Install
• • Mac: Open App Store → search "HP Smart" → Get
• • iPhone/iPad: Open App Store → search "HP Smart" → Get
• • Android: Open Google Play Store → search "HP Smart" → Install

Set Up on Windows/Mac

1. Open HP Smart after installation
2. Sign in with your HP account (or create one — it's free)
3. Click Add Printer or the + icon
4. Make sure your printer is on and connected to WiFi (or USB)
5. HP Smart will scan for nearby printers — select yours
6. Follow the setup wizard — it will install drivers automatically
7. Print a test page to confirm

Set Up on iPhone/Android

1. Open HP Smart
2. Allow Bluetooth and Location permissions (needed to find your printer)
3. Tap Add Printer or Set Up a New Printer
4. The app will search — tap your printer when it appears
5. If setting up a new printer, the app will guide you through WiFi connection
